Developmental Editing focuses on story coherence, character development, pacing, plot holes, the intended message, and writing style. We will work through the overall structure, content, and purpose of your work. I want to build a working relationship with you to fully bring to life your manuscript the way you envision it.
Copy Editing
Copy Editing concentrates on flow, accuracy, consistency, word choice, and sentence clarity and structure. The focus of this type of editing is more on the technical aspects of writing such as ensuring brand names, titles, etc., are referred to correctly.
Finished Book Review
An unpaid book review is available for the edited and/or proofread book once it is published!
Line Editing
Line Editing is centered around a line-by-line deep-dive to assist with clarity, flow, sentence style, tone, dialogue, and consistency. This could include restructuring sentences, avoiding repetition, looking at word choice, and some grammar and punctuation.
Proofreading
Proofreading is strictly for basic typos, grammatical errors, any formatting issues, and inconsistency with wording. This is the final stage after all edits are complete and is to fix any remaining errors to make your manuscript really shine before publishing.
